redirecting a web page to my wordpress blog

  I’d like to have a blog page on my domain, i.e. http://www.mydomain.com/blog, a yet nonexistant page, redirected to http://www.myblog.wordpress.com. How would I set this up?

  If I buy a domain through WordPress (via PayPal), will my name and the billing address of my credit card (my home address) show up associated with the URL on a public index like WhoIs? I am OK with my name appearing but would like to keep the home address and phone, at least, private.

  Yes. I know this for sure because I have registered a domain through wordpress. However, you can buy a domain elsewhere so your personal information is not available through whois and then purchase domain mapping through wordpress.com. Here’s a suggestion for you http://www.namecheap.com/index.asp
