Redirecting Blog address
-
Hello…
A few days ago I changed my Blog address from twoweekswithpay.com to margberphotography.com. I then redirected traffic from my old address to the new one. Is it safe to delete the old “blog” (twoweekswithpay) which is still listed under the tab “my blogs” on my dashboard? Will there be any repercussions if I do this?Thank You.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think you need the blog to be live for the site redirect to keep working – so don’t delete it – not costing you anything other than a bit distracting seeing it in the Dashboard – you can rename the title to “old blog” if the name is confusing (that’s what I did with a couple of mine)

Thank You So Much! I will do that. :)
Will the old blog address from which I redirected, be deleted after a certain time period?

The old blog address will slowly go away with the search engines, take a few months, but some times a search engine will drag something up from the way past –
I would make sure that the content on the old blog can’t be seen (set to draft, private, deleted etc) – then put a single Post with a note that you have moved with a click on this link to your new site – then when the site redirect expires – the “we have moved” will just automatically start working – that covers the off links that seem to show up from time to time
You be welcome & good luck with the move

Oops, One last follow-up question regarding this topic.
Will my subscribers/followers still see my posts in the Reader since I have redirected my photography blog… or do I need to do something from my end to make sure that my new posts still pop up in their Readers?
Thank you! This has all bit a bit confusing for me.
