Redirecting DNS

    I need to redirect my DNS so I can upload a custom theme to use on WordPress.com. I have registered for a domain with WordPress.com (freakshowsf.com) then registered with a hosting site (Dreamhost). I ran into trouble when editing the DNS in order to redirect the domain server. The only information I’ve been given to enter is this:
    ns1.dreamhost.com
    ns2.dreamhost.com
    ns3.dreamhost.com

    Although, when I enter this text into the edit box, WordPress.com says it’s not a recognized format. What should I be entering instead?

    It sounds like you are trying to enter the nameserver values in the Custom DNS section. Instead, you need to be accessing Store > Domains, then logging into your Domain Manager and updating the nameserver values there.
