-
As far as I understand i, it will not be possible for me to redirect my domain to your service, before you make some settings on your nameservers. I’m trying to redirect from danish domain managed by dk-hostmaster
I keep getting:
Error: Svar fra primær navneserver: “ns1.wordpress.com”
Query refused [milestoneselling.dk,NS,IN].
The name server says it refuses to give us an answer.Am I doing anything wrong ?
PS: Har tried contacting you via the support form friday as well
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

.dk .de .ca etc. all require a zone record to be added by the staff. Once the zone record has been added then follow the instructions below for mapping the domain to your blog here.

I have manually added a zone record for your domain.
You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Thank you
I have just redirected my domain, and now I’m waiting for the change to spread out, så I can add the domain to wordpress.com.
But redirecting from dk-hostmster worked as a charm, and is done :-)

Dear Happiness Engineer — much obliged!
A question — shouldn’t the need for a zone record from a cctld be in the main article? It would surely save you and the other members of your happines team from being infected with unhappiness…

It’s there in the first step here
For certain domains, such as .com.br and other non-US domains (or ccTLDs), your registrar may require us to add a “Zone Record” on the WordPress.com servers before the name servers can be updated. Please contact support and state the domain you want to map, and we’ll take care of this for you. …. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

I think this forum shows that a lot of us never assumed our ccTLDs required zone records. I’d be willing to contribute a list of such ccTLDs using data from the G20 nations — that might not cover all the ccTLDs with zone record requirements, but I’d guess the majority of domain mappers would be covered, since probably most of us live in the EU, the Commonwealth, or La Francophonie.
Have a grand weekend!
