Redirecting My Domain
-
My first wordpress domain was thegayav.com
In the past 24 hours I have let that expire so I can change it to thequeerav.comI want to redirect everything from the thegayav.com to thequeerav.com
I’ve tried going onto the redirect page on wordpress.com but it always asks me where I want my domain thequeerav.com to redirect to. I want it to be redirected TO thequeerav.com not FROM. HELP!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You do not want a redirect at all.
You cancelled the previous custom domain. Now you’ve added a new one. It works just fine http://thequeerav.com/ There it is. You need do nothing more.

Maybe redirecting isn’t what I’m after then.
My problem is, links that I’ve posted on social media sites previously still have the old domain link, therefor don’t work. Is there any way to have it so people can still click on those old links but it will take them to the new domain
Thanks!

Well, no. Unfortunately there isn’t anything you can do after cancelling one URL to forward people from that URL to your new one.
What you could have done was left that domain in place for a few months and simply bought a redirect upgrade while it was alive. Now that it’s dead, you can’t redirect it.
