redirecting my site

  Hi, I have my site at http://thirdeyetherapy.wordpress.com. then I bought the 15 points and bought the domain kierstenmarek.com and then went into domains and tried to set it so kierstenmarek.com would redirect to thirdeyetherapy.wordpress.com. Instead, both sites now bring up an error message. Does it take a while for it to work? Can someone look at my wordpress.com page and see if I have it set up correctly. Thanks, Kiersten Marek
