Redirecting my website?

  • Unknown's avatar

I currently run a blog on wordpress.com but have been building a secondary site on wordpress.org – I want my current web address to direct you to my new and updated site. I don’t know how to do this. To recap, when you type in my website it now goes to the new wordpress.org site I’ve been working on.
    TIA

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

do I need to buy the redirect if I’m just redirecting within wordpress?

    Hi there,

Just to make make sure I understand correctly, can you clarify the address of your self-hosted site?

Currently, when I visit staceygreenliving.wordpress.com, I’m redirected to staceygreenliving.com, which is reflecting your WordPress.com site. If you would instead like staceygreenliving.com to point to a self-hosted site, you can do that following the instructions here:

    Change a Domain’s Name Servers

With that method, you shouldn’t need to purchase a Site Redirect upgrade.

I’m sorry, I know I’m not explaining it very well. I want it to point here to the wordpress.org site I’ve been working on. I can’t paste the address of the site url because it takes you to my dashboard. It’s still within wordpress but not just the blog- I’ve been building a new site on the customizr theme and I’d like it to point there. I have just recently moved the hosting part to bluehost but I think the redirection needs to come from wordpress? That’s not clearer, is it. When you go to staceygreenliving.com I want you to be directed to the other wordpress site, the new one. :S
I wish I could show you what I mean.
