Redirecting site traffic?

  I simply want to change my site address from muchmorethanlettuce.wordpress.com to thekalegirl.wordpress.com

  Although I just want to clarify because I have read two different things on these forums:
  One said that by changing your username and choosing to change the site address to correspond to it, the traffic from my site will be directed automatically.
  Another said that I would have to purchase a site redirect upgrade.

  I just want to claify that changing my site address will do only that-I will still retain all my posts and my follows and all traffic would be redireced to thekalegirl.wordpress.com

  If you change your site’s address, traffic to the old address will not be redirected unless you purchase a Site Redirect upgrade.

  Also, please bear in mind that once changed, that site’s WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might want to choose a different option.
