redirecting to another website

  I want to redirect my blog site balicravings.wordpress.com to my new site, also a wordpress – balicravings.com. I was looking at the $13 a year option but when I tried checking out it came up as a lot more than $13 and now I can’t find the options anymore….

  Hi there,

  Do you mean you want your existing site, balicravings.wordpress.com, to appear if you go to the domain, balicravings.com?

  Then you don’t want a redirect. You want domain mapping. The site redirect does cost $13 a year, but does the exact opposite of what you want to do – it sends traffic away from your WordPress.com site to a different site instead.

  Domain mapping can only be added as part of a paid plan. First go to My Site ->Plans and select a plan. After you purchase the plan you can then add the domain mapping upgrade from My Site ->Domains.

  I need to redirect my current website to another website that I want hosted by wordPress. The website http://www.blacktieremovalist.com.au is our company name but we are rebranding and I have purchased the new domain name that I want used from next week.
  What is the best solution as I have no problem paying the redirection and I know where that is located but I do not want to pay for two site designs when one is in use.

  Do you want to redirect traffic to a completely different site, or do you want to add a new domain to your existing site?

  To direct traffic to a different site you need the site redirect upgrade:

  Site Redirect

  To add a new domain to an existing site, go to My Site ->Domains ->Add and register or map your new domain, then set the domain you want to use as primary. All other domains on the site will automatically be redirected to the one you set as the primary domain, so you’ll still get traffic from the existing address, but only the new address will be visible on your site.
