Redirecting Traffic to an offsite host
-
My wordpress site is grumpydisney.com I have recreated the blog offsite at grumpymickey.com if I am correct, because I purchased both domain names through wordpress, I can redirect all my grumpydisney.com traffic to my grumpymickey.com blog. My question is what happens to my followers? Do they lose all the updates that they would normally get?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

From Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard, select which domain you want to be your primary, and the rest will be directed to it.
-
But if I link to a selfhosted blog will my subscribers still get updates when I post on that blog and not my wordpress blog?
-
No, the subscribers will need to resubscribe.
You might want to make one last post about the move before redirecting it.

You can also make a couple of extra Posts on the old site with just a sentence or two about your new Post with a link to the new Post and a suggestion to subscribe to the new blog.
