REdirecting/POinting from word press to a New domain I own

    I want to redirect my word press domain name to my domain name which I already own and which is supported by square space to: http://www.thephotographymasterretreat.com.

    IDO NOT WANT TO REDIRECT THE CONTENT WHICH IS ON MY WORDPRESS DOMAIN: http://thephotographymasterretreat.wordpress.com
    TO MY NEW DOMAIN:
    http://www.thephotographymasterretreat.com.

    I have transferred the content already.

    I just want to Bring my traffic with me — wherever I go

    I GUESS I JUST WANT TO CHANGE THE DESTINATION SITE FROM WORDPRESS TO MY NEW DOMAIN. Or have it point to the new domain. I do not know the terminology too well.
    I have given out the word press URL, this is what I want to redirect it or point it to the new Domain, without exporting the content. I do not need the content any more.

    How can I do that?

    You want the site redirect – that automatically sends traffic to a new site – however not sure if it can be configured to send all traffic to your new home page

    I will flag this for the staff on the details – but the site redirect will dump all traffic to the new site – if you have a WordPress.ORG install on your new site – then you want the Permalinks on your new site to match what you had here – helps to prevent 404 page not found errors

    Hi Martine,

    There’s no way to disable the other features of the Site Redirect upgrade. Really, these features are useful for your readers and are standard for redirections.

    Is there any particular reason you don’t want these?
