Redirection from WordPress.com site to self-hosted wordpress.org domain

  What happens if i register a domain and move my content to wordpress.org. I would like to set it up so that visitors to my old URL at wordpress.com are automatically redirected to my new self-hosted site. Is this possible? How do I do this?
