Redirection of subdomain if I upgrade to a Personal Plan?

    I have a free plan with WordPress and have had my business cards printed to show the site address which includes “.wordpress.com”. If I upgrade to a Personal plan and then simply have a “mysite.com” custom domain name, would the ‘old’ “.wordpress.com” subdomain be automatically redirected to the new custom domain if a customer typed in the address shown on my business card, or would it then be ‘not found’? It’d be a drag to have to get my business cards re-printed so soon!!

    Yes it will be redirected – if you will upgrade your WordPress.COM plan and register a new domain. You can find more information from this link.

    Eitherway, if you already have an existing domain registered to somewhere else or you plan to register your domain somewhere other than WordPress, you can also map it to your existing WordPress.COM site. See instructions from this link.
