Redirection problem

  Hi
  Few days back I bought a domain. And planned to start a blog First. So I started like sitename.com/blog/

  As I dont want to start the main site i.e. – sitename.com so I tried to redirect it to my blog i.e. – sitename.com/blog/ . But the code not working.

  Btw my blog is in WP.

  Can anybody help me with this issue?

  Help would be appreciated.

  Have I posted in the wrong place? Or this is never ending probs and can’t be solved.

  If you read what it says under “Subdirectories” here
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/#subdirectories
  you will realize that you can NOT map your blogname.wordpress.com to sitename.com/blog/ BUT you can map your blogname.wordpress.com to blog.sitename.com.
