Redirection troubles

    Hi

    Last year I had my blog redirected from steamboatfriday.wordpress.com to steamboatfriday.com. Since then I never had any new wordpress likes or new follows on my posts. I figured it was because my blog was no longer showing up in the WordPress Reader.

    Anywho, yesterday I changed the theme on my blog and out of curiosity, posted 2 posts from steamboatfriday.wordpress.com instead of the self hosted wordpress dashboard.

    Turns out the posts were published on the old wordpress.com account but weren’t being redirected. I copy pasted the entire post from steamboatfriday.wordpress.com and published it from my dashboard on steamboatfriday.com. This time the posts were published and out of nowhere I had likes and followers.

    I am getting likes/followers notifications but can’t spot them on my self hosted site. Posted a similar query at wordpress.org but no response. I have narrowed the issue down to “redirection” as I keep getting an error that site redirect from wordpress.com account expired on March 13, 2014. When I click on “My Upgrades”, it says there’s no need for upgrade until March 12, 2015!

    It could be because the bank card I registered when I bought the redirection last year has expired this March and now I have a new bank card. But, wordpress.com won’t let me purchase the redirection! The purchase page is all messed up in Chrome and Safari. The text box for card “expiration date” doesn’t show up!

    Oddly enough, if I type in steamboatfriday.wordpress.com, it redirects to steamboatfriday.com but new posts don’t, neither do the followers or likes.

    Hope someone can help me.
