Hi there,
we have a Declaration of Conformity uploaded to wordpress. The link has the following structure http://www.domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/DoC_de.pdf
This link is also printed on our packaging. However now we wish to change the content, because the DoC is out of date, the link however must stay the same.
Is there a way to upload the new DoC and give it the exact same link? OR Is there a way to redirect the old link to a new one!

Hi there, Each time you upload a file to a WPcom site, the year and month of the upload is appended to the URL of the document. To the best of my knowledge, it’s not possible to later retain the same link URL or create a redirect to that URL if you need to update the document, as the newly uploaded file will contain the current year and month of the upload.
This is why it is preferable to link to a page on your WPcom site rather than directly to a document.
