Redownloading Media Library Back Onto Computer

    Hi everyone,

    So today has been a bit rough – I lost all my backups for all of my personal photos (along with a lot of other important document backups). A lot of my photos are on my media library for my blog though. Is there a way to download your blog’s library back onto your computer? I’d really like to be able to have these photos back again. Thank you

    Hi @dcmoore1, sorry to hear that!

    If you’re feeling adventurous and technically savvy, you can install your own copy of WordPress on the computer then use the export/import process to fetch all of your images.

    Installing WordPress on your own computer takes some technical know-how though. Would you be up for that?

    You could also go into the media library click on each image, and save it.

    For what it’s worth, as long as you’re keeping your login and password safe and don’t go on any media-library purges, the images are pretty safe right here on our servers.
