Reduce height (or padding?) of Navigation bar

    Hello! I would like to reduce the amount of yellow top bar found underneath my drop down menu items. I’m using a custom theme built for me. Right now, the menu bar is centered vertically on top of the top bar. I want to reduce the top bar height so there’s not so much yellow underneath the menu. I’ve tried pasting in custom CSS from other threads, but nothing makes any changes. Thank you!

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and is hosted by GoDaddy.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on WordPress.com.
