Reduce number of comments displayed

  Is it possible to reduce the number of comments displayed on a page? Because I have set up a page specially for comments and I think in future when the number of comments increase, there would be a need to scroll like mad.

  So is there a way which I can like limit the number of comments displayed to about 10? 15? Then allow the reader flexbility where he can click to view archived comments.

  There is no way to do this that I know of.
