Reduce size of images in Media Library

  Hi,

  A friend has asked me for help with her wordpress.com hosted travel blog. She is retired and, not knowing the implications, uploaded a lot of photos at their full resolution, which is of course unnecessary, and uses up way more online space than necessary — now she gets a warning that she’s used up most of the space available in her plan. :-/

  I’m not using wordpress.com (only self-hosted at this point) but I wonder if there is an online tool or script that can be run on the media library, to automatically change the size of all existing uploads to say, no more than 2000 pixels on the long side?
