Reducing the border size around the image widget
-
Hi,
I’ve tried searching for this topic and read through lots of threads that weren’t relevant so apologies if I’ve missed any. I’m looking to incorporate images in my sidebar to be used as a menu for the categories within my blog http://foodkarma.ca (ex. you click on the spoon with “eateries” written on it to get to the section of the blog on eateries).
The issue I’m having is that when I use the image widget, there’s too much space around the image making the menu much too spread out (here’s an ex. http://carmcheng.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/sample_menu.jpg ).
I would like the images to be closer together, with little/no border so that the menu ends up resembling this image at the end of it http://carmcheng.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/spicesv.jpg
Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried simply using text widgets with the image codes in them instead?

Thanks for the quick response! I did try, but not familiar with html and don’t know how to write the codes to set the image size and alignment.

Just realized the tip you sent would provide the code for alignment and sizing. Just tried it and the border issue still remains… http://carmcheng.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/13-02-2012-11-32-34-am.jpg
