reducing the size of image on blog post

Hi – how can I reduce the size of the image that appears on the top of my blog posts? It is huge? Is there anyway to move it to the side of the text?

Hi there,
It looks as though the images files that you are uploading are quite large themselves and by default are set to a width equal to 100% of the file size.
However, you can reduce the size of your embedded images within your Posts by using the editor tools available to you in the Visual tab of your Editor screen. To get to this section head to the Blog Posts section of your My Site dashboard, select the post you wish to Edit, Select the Visual tab (rather then HTML) and click on the image you wish to resize. You should now see the following toolbar: http://prntscr.com/kvvxke. For more information on the Visual Editor please review the following documents: https://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/
Once you have resized your image to your liking using the “-” or “+” buttons you can then Align your image using one of the four Align buttons on the left. If you would like to further Crop, Rotate, or Flip your image select the Pencil icon from the toolbar then the Edit Image button and follow the directions outlined in the guide provided here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/editing-an-image/.
I hope this helps!
Cheers
