Refer a friend credit

  I signed up on wordpress using a referral link from a friend that says i will get $25 credit if i sign up via the link. How can i use the $25 credit? I can’t seem to find it. I tried going to Plans and adding a plan to cart, but the credit is still not applied.

  Hi there, AFAIK, the code you received after clicking on the referral link needs to be added in the cart. Click where it says “Have a coupon code” and a box will open where you can add that code.

  Hi, but where do i get the code from? They did not send me any code after i have signed up through the referral link.

  Hi there,

  The credit will only be applied when you go to the checkout page to make your payment. At that point the credit amount is subtracted from the total plan cost as displayed on the plans page.

  Hi, even when i have reached the checkout page to make payment, the credit amount is not subtracted from the total plan cost. It still shows me the full cost.

  Hi @fstat and @kokkieh, although @anthea0901 has not yet resolved their issue, thanks for clarifying somewhat how this works. Can something be added to the support guide so we volunteers can refer users to or should we mark any such thread for Staff attention regardless?

  (Also, now that we’ve established that this is a legitimate referral link, maybe the link should be removed from the forums? :) )

  Hm, I can see the credits on your account – they should be used when paying for the plan. Go ahead and purchase the subscription you wanted, if the credits don’t get applied for some reason, just let us know and we’ll refund the $25.
