  can the advertisement for wordpress (http://wordpress.com/?ref=footer_blog) be removed from the bottom of my page?

  Thank you in advance for your help. I enjoy wordpress but would like to reference my company, is this possible?

  Hi Liz!

  The WordPress.com attribution is required per our terms of service seen here:

  http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

  However, you can add a blurb about your company either before or after the WordPress.com attribution. Just place the following CSS code under Appearance -> Customize -> CSS:

  div#colophon:before {
  	content: "This is where your content would go.";
  }
