Referencing web images

  Do we have to reference all images from the internet? If I use a picture from Google and post it in my blog, can I just leave it at that or do I have to reference it? Are there any rules against copyright?

  Copyright law applies in cyberspace just as it does in the print world. Google has images they have indexed and most of those images are under copyright. That is why Google images states this “Images may be subject to copyright.” You must check the terms of use for each image and use them only in accord with the terms of use.
