Referrer

I like checking on sites that refer my blog….but sometime when I click the link…it didn’t show link to my blog.
Just now, I saw 3 facebook account in my referrer table…but I don’t any know any of those people and when I checked the page…there’s no mention of my blog.
So the question is how does referrer works?? I’m awfully curious about this.

We get the limited information that you see about referrals on your stats pages form wordpress.com stats. We cannot use Google Analytics, Clicky, etc. because the wpMU (wordpress multiuser) software strips out the code that’s needed to supply full referral information to preserve security.
We cannot use javascript driven visitor tracking programs. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
We can only use additional third party visitor tracking programs that use pure HTML and I have used and reviewed several of these:
