Hello there — I am trying to understand what a referrer hider does. I am about to make my blog go public and want to know if I should click the: (Settings/Reading)/Link Visibility : I would like my links to be public, without being passed through a referrer hider. Advice? Thanks!! –Tamar
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Tamar,
The referrer hider is for private blogs, so you don’t need to worry about it if you are making your blog public.
When a link is clicked on your blog to somewhere else, a referrer record is brought with the browser. This record says, “this is where I came from,” and is recorded in most stats systems. To keep your private blog completely hidden, we offer a referrer hider at http://href.li which is prepended to your links and removes the referrer record, so your private blog’s location is never recorded as a referrer.
If you have any questions about this, please let me know!
