referrer spam

macmanx suggested this is a different issue than the one discussed at http://bit.ly/ZdNwYg
Anyway, redirect.ad-feeds.com appeared in my referrer list yesterday. I inquired about it. It appeared to be fixed because the spammer is no longer listed as a referrer.
I guess my question is, is the referrer spam gone from my site or did it just embed itself deeper. I’d like it to be gone and some protection such that it doesn’t return. The infected sites are http://hockeybeat.wordpress.com/ and backchecksblog, com.
If this wasn’t the separate issue macmanx was referencing I apologize for the mistake.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Really?
No, it’s just referrer spam.
In the future, please report these via http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/whats-redirect-ad-feeds?replies=15#post-1199262

No, those are our instructions, she isn’t conflicting with anything.
Also, referrer spam is not an infection or a security issue.
When someone visits your blog from another site (like Google.com), they carry with a referrer, which is why you show referrers in your stats from Google.
The referrer field can also be faked in a form of spam, so someone browsers the web as usual, but leaves behind a false referrer.
It’s not an infection or a security issue, just someone providing false information as they browse.
Also, in the previous thread, I was asking anneghanassia to create a new thread.

maxmanc: That wasn’t clear but I see edited your post to make it specific. Thank you for that much.
