Referrer Spam (again)

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have reported Referrer’s Spam before, a couple of weeks ago, and it stopped for a while. Now the same sites are spamming again. When I tried to report the fact I got to the “support” page, but when I tried to input the details by describing the problem the search button did not work and there is no other way of getting to the report form. You say you don’t want the spammer’s details on the forum pages for obvious reasons, so what do I do next?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    go back to :
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    and try just putting the word

    “spam”

    in the search box. I just tried that end it opened the contact form.

    ** I did this, and the contact form appeared.

    (Sorry I should look at what I am typing)

    @kcryeland
    Go back to that form and scroll to the bottom of it. At the bottom there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

    Thanks dlager and timethief. I went through the procedure and it was still the same, then I changed the Compatibility View on my browser (ie turned it off) and all was well. I have now reported the referral spammers by name. Thanks for your help.

    Thanks for returning and letting us know about turning off the Compatibility View on your browser. Best wishes for happy blogging. :)
