Referrers from wordpress dashboard, no link

  This is just a query: In my stats page under “Referrers” I often see ‘WordPress Dashboard’, with no link to it. Today there are 7 referrers from that source. I’m just curious as to how the WordPress Dasboard is referring people to my blog & why.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Take a look at your own dashboard and you’ll see links to other WordPress.com blogs in many places: in your stats, comments, “What’s Hot” and so on.

  When you click on those links, the other person’s stats will show the referrer as “WordPress Dashboard” — just to give you a little privacy.

  Thanks tellyworth. I thought it might be something like that, but I’ve only rarely seen my blog feature in the “what’s hot” and so on. Mind you I don’t scroll down there that often. It was the no link bit that had me confused. Thanks.
