Referrers v Top Posts and Pages

  If I have a referring URL that points to the home page that shows N visit, and a top pages and posts listing for the current top item and shows less than N visits, what is going on there? What is the relationship between Referrers and Top Pages and Posts

  if you have a referring url to the home page that shows 10 visits, that just adds 10 hits to your stats for the day, doesn’t relate to your top pages/posts. for example, of the 10 (people, let’s assume) who came through that referrer, they may not click on any posts but read just what’s on the home page.
