Reformatting imported blog

Thank you to the person who taught me how to import my blog. (Forgot who she was, but she was “Happy.” lol)

Next problem. Some of the fonts are now huge, while some are tiny. I wouldn’t mind going back to even them out one by one, but it’s a 10 year old blog, so…oh, no, please not that! lol

Also, I don’t know how to do that on here. Any advice on how to even out the formatting, so all the post have the same size letters and read like they used to read?

And, apparently, importing didn’t let me keep my links to Youtube videos I made for the blogs. I’d like to plop them back in.

Probably easiest question is where do I go to learn how to rework old posts? I’m just asking in case “old post” is different if imported.

But since I’m asking, any hints and tips to give the new chick who hasn’t even figured much at all? Particularly interested in Help pages, where WordPress is teaching users how to do stuff, instead of just trying to convince us to use their product. (Most everything I’ve read so far is marketing stuff, not user stuff. I’m sold, or I wouldn’t be here showing how dumb I am. lol)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. I’m afraid you’ll have to fix your old posts one by one. The custom design upgrade might allow you to make global changes (I’m not sure if it will work the way you want it to, though), but it’s a paid upgrade. This support doc explains how you can change the font for an entire post at once: http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/styling-individual-posts-and-pages/#changing-the-default-font-size-and-color but it remains a post-by-post technique.
And this one shows you how to get to the post editor for already published posts (it makes no difference whether you created them on WP or imported them): http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/

The support docs can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/ This link can also be found at the bottom of the screen in your dashboard.

Easiest way to quickly learn how everything works is to work through the “Learn WordPress” support doc and the “Video Quick Start” tutorial. And you’re always welcome to ask in the forums if you don’t understand or can’t find something.

Regarding the videos, I think you’re also going to have to add them back manually. My guess is that as blogger and youtube both belong to Google they had their own interface for embedding the videos in blog posts and that didn’t transfer along with your content. I could be wrong. In any event, here’s the support doc on embedding youtube videos on WordPress: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
