Refund

I just saw that wordpress charge my account for an auto renewal of my domain and I do not and did authorize the autorenewal. I would like a refund. It was charged on October 20th and set to expire November 20th. I do not want to renew it and I have just disabled the autorenew which I NEVER enabled in the first place. Please instruct me on how to get a refund as there is no human contact at wordpress to rectify this with. Many thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Exactly which domain URL are you referring to please?
There isn’t any domain mapping here http://deadduffinsandmalapropisms.wordpress.com/

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that registered the blog in question and purchased the upgrade, you can request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
There is also where you can click the “disable auto-renew” link.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

If you wish to contact WordPress.COM Staff about the charges you see on your WordPress.COM account statement, please use this form (which works even when the main contact form is closed):

I was charged for a premium account which I don’t think I ever had. I followed the links you provided and the first one already lists my activity on the site and the other is a form I have already submitted. When can I expect to receive an answer from the form I submitted?

    Thanks for posting the URL.

  • It appears that your account was set to auto-renew. We send multiple auto-renew warnings prior to renewal so nobody is surprised. But sometimes those can slip through the cracks.

I’m seeing that you have disputed and reversed the charge. As such, there is nothing I can do at this point. Once a dispute has been filed, I cannot process the refund. You will need to wait until your credit card company has completed their dispute process.
