    Hello,

    I set up a blog and registered a domain for a local election on March 2015.
    However, I have just seen that the domain has been automatically renewed. I received an email telling me that I had the opportunity to renew the domain but it was not mentioned that the renewal is automatic.

    Thank you for refunding me because this domain is now useless.

    Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.     I can still cancel your domain renewal, but that will cancel your domain as well. We cannot guarantee that the domain well become available again, or that you’ll ever be able to register it again.

    Please confirm if you want to cancel the domain.
