  I cancelled my plan, but was only refunded $30 of the $47.

  Do you intend to use the domain on another site?

  Or do you wish to completely give up ownership of it?

  It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.

  I bought the domain from another site (GoDaddy). I’m pretty new to all this stuff, but why would WordPress own my domain name if it wasn’t purchased through them?

  Thanks for the clarity. When you purchase an upgrade domain mapping is included so do not worry Staff will attend to this as soon as they can.

  I’ve just double checked with our payments team and verified that we have processed a full refund back to you. It should reach your account in about ten days.

  At that time it’s best to inquire about any delays with your bank. They will also be able to tell you how to expect the refund listed on your statement.
