    Hi I canceled a payment I didn’t mean to make a few days ago and I need the refund for it I don’t care if i need to make the $20 payment for the URL i just want my other $80 back.

    Which upgrade did you cancel, and when did you cancel and request a refund?

    There are no pro-rated refunds so be clear on that. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.

    • WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
    • The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
    • It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.

    What’s missing is the relevant information for Staff.

    Do you intend to use the domain URL on another site?

    Or do you wish to completely give up ownership of it?

    It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.

    We offer a full refund on all plans for 30 days, and on domains for 48 hours. Had you cancelled the upgrade via the Purchases page on 1 June when you bought it, you’d probably have had your refund by now. But instead I see you disputed the payment with your bank. That means you accused us of committing fraud and that money is now frozen and we are not able to refund it even if we wanted to.

    You’ll only be able to receive a refund for that payment after our payment processor has concluded their investigation into the dispute, and that typically takes 8 to 12 weeks. Additionally your site has been locked and a fine applied to your account. You can read our full policy on chargebacks here:

    If you cancel the dispute with your bank we might be able to still refund you, but that will depend on how far along our payment processor is into their investigation on this dispute, so I can’t make any promises.
