Refund
-
I am trying to figure out how to get a refund. I do not see a purchase in my account but my credit card was clearly charged $48. I don’t see a phone number to call for customer support. I don’t know how I can cancel my purchase aside from canceling it through my credit card company.
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hello there,
If you want to know what you have been charged for, you can use this tool to find out: https://wpchrg.wordpress.com
I’ve also flagged this thread for staff attention.
Thank You. :)

Hi there, we can’t see any purchases associated with the account you’re logged in on (username:
michaelhjlee25f1f9bace). I definitely suggest using the https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ website that amiteshg93 linked above in order to retrieve information regarding the charge. -
Thank you kindly, for the guidance.
I tried using the website twice. Neither attempts worked.
My statement clearly states the charge, however.
I have reached out to staff via email for further guidance. -
I see the email did not go through. :-(
Below is the content of the email sent:
Thank you kindly for your response.
I am not sure about the user name, but I clearly see a charge for $48 on 11/16/2022 on my personal AmEx.
I’ve used the website below twice on separate occasions but the website claims it cannot find the charge. If you are unable to find the transaction, I would think the only recourse would be for me to dispute the charge on my end w/ AmEx, which would surely trigger visibility on your end, as well?
I want to cancel the annual subscription anyway.
Please note: the charge denotes I used Apple Pay to process the payment in question. I do not know if this helps you.
Please advise. Thank you!

Hi there,
What is the URL of the site associated with the plan you purchased? We’d be able to look up the account with that information and further assist you.
Let u know. Thank you!

Hello!
This is what appears on my estatement: “WPCHRG.COM”.
Descriptor: “AplPay WORDPRESS JERSAN FRANCISCO CA”.Looking through my history @ 11/16, the site I used to make the purchase was wordpress.com.
Thank you!

Hello there,
Are you able to locate a transaction ID as per these steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id ?
Many thanks.
-
Thank you for the support.
Unfortunately, I do not see the charge. :-(
Is there someone I can speak to at your finance department? I’m sure the cc I used is in your system, and likely would link back to me/whatever account is in my name?

Hi there,
We should be able to assist, but I think we need a little clarification. If we can know the name of the site you created, we’ll be able to pull up your information and assist you with refunding the charges.
When I earlier asked for the URL of the site associated with the charges, I want to know the site URL of the WordPress.com site you created when you began making your site. Or if you remember the email or username connected to the account with the charges, that would be helpful.
We’re trying to pull up your account, and that is the best way to do so. Once we know that information, we’ll be on the right track. Let us know.
Thanks!

Hello!
I believe I may have started the process of creating a site called “michaelhjlee.wordpress.com”? Does this come up in your system?
Thank you for your assistance.
-
Hello there,
michaelhjlee.wordpress.com does return a live site and it would be connected to an account.
Can you remember any and all email addresses that could be in use with WordPress.com?
We’ve reached out to the account owner to see if we can move this forward.

Hi!
(email visible only to moderators and staff) or (email visible only to moderators and staff) are the 2 email accounts I have used on this site.
Unless I made a mistake in typing my email… :-(

We’ll need to get some additional information from you to track down the transaction, and those details shouldn’t be shared here, in the public forums. Please email us at
passwordhelp@wordpress.com, ideally attaching the transaction ID of the recent purchase:https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id.
Thanks!
