Which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about, please?
How many username accounts and sites do you have?Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto-renew. Or you could be logged in under the wrong username account.
Did you carry through and you use the appropriate process found here at Canceling and Refunding Purchases https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#canceling-and-refunding-purchases to cancel and request a refund?
Did you also cancel auto-renew https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew?
Canceling and refunding purchases
There are no prorated refunds. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.
• WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
• The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
• It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.Canceling domains
It is important to know that canceled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also, note that there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again. If you want Staff to investigate you must provide specifics.
What is the URL of the domain?
Which wordpress.COM plan did you purchase?
Which wordpress.COM site did you purchase it for?I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

@devharmon it looks like everything but the domain renewal was refunded, so I’ve refunded that for you, too. Cheers :)
