@thehogandthedog – thanks for reaching out!
Your Personal Plan was renewed on September 15 since auto-renew was enabled on the plan.
Typically, you can cancel and refund these via https://wordpress.com/me/purchases in accordance with our refund policy https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/#refund-policy
However, instead you initiated a chargeback dispute with your credit card provider: https://wordpress.com/support/payment/chargebacks/
When a chargeback occurs, the payment is placed on hold while the dispute is mediated. The WordPress.com site in question is automatically suspended as a result of the dispute.
The dispute mediation process can take up to 80 days to complete, at the end of which any resulting refund would be issued by the issuing bank or payment provider. WordPress.com cannot issue a refund while a dispute is active.
We can still issue a refund for this, but not while the chargeback dispute is active. Chargebacks can usually be canceled in the first 10 days after they have been issued. You can cancel a chargeback by contacting the bank or payment provider through their website or by phone — generally, they can be canceled in the same way they were initiated.
Once you have canceled that dispute with your credit card provider and they’ve reported the same back to us, we’ll be happy to issue a refund.

Forgot to add: Please let us know when you’ve done that, otherwise we won’t be notified to process that refund. Thanks!

@thehogandthedog – me again! :)
Looking into this further, it looks like someone from our payments team will be reaching out to you directly regarding this transaction. Please wait for their reply and direct any further questions to that email.
I hope that helps!
