I had an account two or three years ago. However about a year and a half ago or more I had closed it. I could not figure out how to use it, and I tried but could not get help to set it up. Last year WordPress put $114.00 on my charge card they said it was automatic. I reminded them I had closed it. They were very nice and said no problem they would refund my money. They did and I have it on my credit card statement from Bank of America. Well it happened gain. They went to put it on my credit card but I had a new number because of bank fraud. So somehow they attached my joint account’s email with my husband and it went through my paypal account. I believe it’s because our email at the credit union is our email, but I never authorized it to be used. I have a separate email for Word Press because I use it strictly for my business. They had a subscription renewal withheld on 6/30/2020. They said it was set for automatic on 7/15/2020, however first they had already closed and refunded the $114.00 in 2019. Second they said they could not find where I have ever had an account with them. Third they withheld it on 6/30 according to my bank statement when it wasn’t due until 7/15/20020. Why so early. I sent the login information and I also tried it again just about 15 minutes ago and sure enough I can use my log in and password but the page I created isn’t there. If it was closed why can I still log into a blank page. Also I am having a terrible time trying to find anyone to help me. I have sent countless messages and have only had the response that they have had never had an account for me. Why then can I still sign on? I think what happened is it did not get closed when they refunded it. Then somehow it was still showing so they re-billed it but it was closed so they said I never had an account. So I would like to be refunded my $114.00 again this year as now I am into the second year with this and I don’t even use it. My information with my credit union shows it was a withdrawal and it was from Word Press. What are my recourses if this message gets ignored. I would have liked to use the blog but never could understand how it worked and got frustrated. Now there is even more frustration with trying to find someone, anyone to help. I just a simple women on an island in Alaska! Please can someone help? I really don’t want to have to keep doing this but can’t afford to loose the money either.

For what site is this? The WordPress.com account you’re using to post here has never owned any paid upgrades with us, so we don’t even have a credit card on file for you that we could have charged.
This account has existed with us since 2012, but has only ever owned the one free site, http://csjinktn.wordpress.com
It’s not possible to close a WordPress.com account that has active upgrades, and once you close an account your payment details are completely deleted from our servers, so it is not possible for us to charge a closed account. If you’ve been charged for a renewal, it means you still have an active upgrade on an account that still exists.

You can also use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
