  Hello,

  I did not realize, as it was not specified, that in order to activate a theme on my site, I would need to purchase a $396 business plan, which is out of my business budget at the moment. Since I have purchased a theme I now cannot use, I am hoping I can get a refund? Please let me know how I can go about this.

  Hi Alma,

  Are you speaking of the Luxury theme you bought from us yesterday? I see you’ve already cancelled that, and we’ve processed a full refund, but there is no need for any paid plan to use that theme on your WordPress.com site.

  The Business Plan requirement is only for third party themes, i.e. themes that you buy from other companies/developers/theme shops, or custom themes you create yourself. Premium themes sold directly on WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/themes/ can be used even on sites with the free plan.
