I cancelled my annual subscription with WordPress but have only received the refund for the hosting but not the domain. Please can you refund the full amount of £19.20.

When it comes to domain name registrations, we have a policy that allows for a full refund if the domain is canceled within 96 hours (4 days) from the time it was registered.
According to our records, it looks like the domain was transferred 8 days after it was registered. Because this is outside of the 96-hour window, we are unable to issue a refund for the domain registration fee.

I contacted support immediately after the auto renew happened which was automatically turned on. Requesting a full refund and everything to be set back to what I paid for which was 12 months. The response was just do it in the account, but I wanted everything reset to before the renewal date as cancelling suddenly was going to be immediate. The domain was registered on 31st August 2022, and therefore expires on the 31st August 2023, this was what I paid for when signing up. No notification that an auto renew was happening 1 month early was given, I always thought like any reasonable person would that any renewal would be done on the 1 year mark! No time was given to be able to make the necessary arrangements to move the site.
As the domain is still expiring on 31st August 2023 I have been charged for domain renewal (against my wishes) that hasn’t even occurred. There seems to be no email or way to make a formal complaint and refund request, if that cannot be provided or this matter sorted then I will have to take further action to get a refund.

Thanks for clarifying the timing of the renewal vs the original registration date. I have cancelled the renewal and issued a refund for the remaining funds: £19.20

You can expect to see the funds in your account, but it can take a billing cycle or two depending on your institution. I can confirm the refund was processed on our end, but you may also wish to contact your credit card company to confirm.
