Refund and Cancellation
-
Hello, I was wondering if it might be possible to get a refund on my subscription and a cancellation of the service. I logged in to my account hoping to remove the payment method and refund the transaction, but the website doesn’t show any saved payment methods, nor does it show a transaction history. I was hoping it would be possible to get a refund since I haven’t used WordPress in years and forgot about this service, and without the refund I can’t get groceries, so it poses a huge hardship. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
It sounds like you have ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and have logged into the incorrect one (the account that does not own the upgrade you are trying to cancel/refund).
What is the URL of the site you are trying to access? We’ll be happy to take a look and see if we can help.

Hi there,
From what I can see for that account you are still within your refund period, so we are happy to help with that. However, for reasons of security we are not able to help with that account unless we chat directly with the owner of the account.
Since the login you are using here (@horus117) is not associated with that site or upgrade, we are not able to help here in this conversation. Do you need help accessing your other account? If you do not recall how to log in to your other account you can fill out the form here to get assistance from our Account Recovery team:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
On that form you will be asked to provide a transaction ID for your purchase, which you can typically find on your credit card statement. More info on how to find that here: https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id
Once you have access to the correct account we will be happy to assist you further

Recovered my login to the account in question and already canceled, I didn’t realize that the refund automatically happened within a 14 day period. So I do believe that everything is resolved, thanks!

I can confirm you are all sorted with the refund on your auto-renewal. Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
