Refund and domain

  I had the personal plan for one day and canceled it for the refund two days ago. I am waiting on my refund and for my domain to be relinquished, so I can buy it again on another host. How long does this normally take, and will I be able to buy the domain again?

  Hi oliviagrissom,

  WordPress.com can not guarantee you when will your domain name be released again and be available elsewhere.
  In your case probably it should be available in a few weeks , but again we can’t guarantee you that. Once it is available, anyone can buy it.

  Hi there,

  Thankfully it is still possible to restore your domain. For that, I have already emailed your a payment link. When you have completed the payment reply back to this thread to restore the domain.

  Thanks, I’ve refunded that part of the receipt and added the domain back to your account.

  If you want to point to another host, here’s how:

  Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  Then when you’re ready to transfer (after the domain is 60 days old) you can do this:

  Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  Or you’re welcome to keep it registered here; just be sure to keep it renewed from year to year.
