Refund: Automatic renewal

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

My wordpress blogs accommod8.org and accommod8.net is no longer active and I do not intend to blog anymore in the near future. I am really sorry that I missed the email about automatic renewal, I just noticed that you have charged my credit card with US$36! I am requesting a refund, I have no intention of paying for extra services anymore (since I don’t even use my blog right now)!

What do I need to do in order to get a refund? I have disabled automatic renewal on my account now.

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you ought to be able to request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/cancel-domain/ and Guided Transfers.

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

What is the email address you do use? Post it here and the software will redcat it ie. HIDE it so only Staff can see it.

It was an old work email, i only use my personal email now, so i checked my bank this morning, to see that I had pending transactions from WordPress.

    Hi there,

After looking into your account, I found that the transactions were voided and did not go through. Your domains will expire on April 26th.

We don’t recommend letting a domain lapse if you want to keep it, for the following reasons:

    * Domain expirations don’t happen immediately. Registrars have a grace period of 30-–90 days during which they’ll hold on to the domain and give the owner a chance to renew it after it’s expired. The domain isn’t usable by anyone else during this period, and it wouldn’t be pointing to your site during this time either.

    * Once that grace period is up, there is a good chance that the domain could get purchased by someone else before you have a chance to re-register it, in the hopes that they can charge you more to get the domain back.

You can find more information concerning the expiration, mapping, and transfer of domains here:
