Refund – Bogus!!
-
OMG. You guys just charged me $129 for a domain I don’t use or want. When I tried to cancel, you emailed me a refun amount of $99. I want all my money back!! This is not cool!! You so caught me off guard with this and that is not fair!! If there was a warning email that I was about to be charged, I would have cancelled right away. I want assurance of an entire refund of all the charges.
Thanks,

Hi evangelinesheart,
I am adding ‘modlook’ in the sidebar Tags so that staff can look into this and help you with the refund.
How do I get Moderator/Staff reply to my questions?

Hi there,
To address any and all billing issues like this one we can click https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ and we can also use this form (which works even when the main contact form is closed): http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?whywasi=charged
Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.
- Which upgrade, which site URL and which username account is this about, please?
- How many username accounts and sites do you have? Maybe you failed to cancel one and disable auto renew.
Did you carry through and you use the appropriate process found here at Canceling and Refunding Purchases https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#canceling-and-refunding-purchases to cancel and request a refund?
Did you also cancel auto-renew https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew?
Cancelling and refunding purchases
There are no prorated refunds. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.
• WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
• The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
• It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.Canceling domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again. If you want Staff to investigate you must provide specifics.
- What is the URL of the domain?
- Which wordpress.COM plan did you purchase?
- Which wordpress.COM site did you purchase it for?
