refund, but want my domain

    I canceled my domain and wordpress purchases. Is there any way to acquire the domain name back? I just canceled yesterday

    Hi @twobitlogic, are you wanting to use that domain name on a site hosted here at WordPress.com, or are you wanting to use it on a different site at a different web host?

    I wanted to reserve the domain name, most likely will choose to host on a different domain but I am not 100% sure yet

    Hi there,

    You have not told us the domain yet. Are you referring to mymostbeautiful.org?

    That domain should be released in another few days, at which point you should be able to register it somewhere else, so if you want to use it with another hosting provider the best option is to wait a few days and then register it directly with them.

    If you want to use the domain with a WordPress.com site, I’ll need you to purchase a new plan for your site before I’ll be able to restore the domain – a plan is required to add a domain to a site on WordPress.com, and you’ve already been refunded for your original plan, including the registration cost of the domain.

    Ok I guess I will wait until its released and decide. I read somewhere that sometimes the name does not get released.

    If you cancel in the first 48 hours, it will be released after a short grace period, during which time we can have you re-buy the domain here if you change your mind.

    I’d recommend waiting it out and purchasing with the host of your choice. Meanwhile, if you have questions about deciding whether to host here, let us know.
