Refund , Debit card

    I ordered a refund after i bought the subscription (canceled a hour after i payed) and 3 days later someone stole my wallet at a party so i admetiedtly canceled my card. I still haven’t gotten my refund and I’m afraid it won’t go through due to the cancelation. Not sure who i can contact about this and there is no forums. i wish there was a straight forward contact form or email address but I need this money to go back into my account as it was promised.

    Hi there,

    Your refund was issued when you canceled that subscription. (You can find the refund receipt in your Billing History.) It can take some time for refunds to appear on your credit card statement, while your credit card company processes the refund — since your card was cancelled, please contact your credit card company for more information about how they will process that refund.

    If they say there’s anything more we need to do about that, please let me know!

    I just talked to my bank they said the refund should go back into my account my card was linked too since my card was cancelled and not my account. Its been 7 business days and I haven’t received it yet

    Hi there,

    The refund was issued on August 11, when you canceled the subscription — it can sometimes take 1-2 weeks for credit card companies to process refunds like that. If you have concerns about that refund not appearing on your account, your credit card company can give you more details about when to expect that refund to appear.

    Ok its been two weeks and I’ve talked to my bank and they really have nothing to with it because its you guys who are making the transaction and you guys should be putting it in my account that my card was hooked to. It was a debit card not a credit card and the account it was hooked to is still open so the refund should go right in there. The bank cant do anything but look up my history with you guys and all they have is when I payed you guys and they have no info from you guys sending anything back. My WordPress account history says I payed 99 then it says -99 after I canceled but I’ve yet to receive anything. I’m not sure why it takes so long since its a debit card and idk if you guys can look up where its at in the process but that would be helpful because I’m starting to get worries since you guys keep extending the date the refund is supposed to arrive and you guys keep sending me to my bank when my bank cant do anything because there not the ones I payed 99$ too.

    I’m sorry for the frustration — WordPress.com already sent the refund, so if your bank hasn’t received it yet it’s possible that the refund is still being processed by PayPal, our payment processor. (All payments at WordPress.com, including debit and credit cards, are processed through PayPal.)

    You can check the status of the refund directly with PayPal using the PayPal reference ID near the top of your refund receipt (listed next to PayPal Ref:) on your Billing History page. You can find PayPal’s contact information here:
