Refund Domain name

Please refund my domain name thedojo.com as it does not work since it is already a registered domain. Once refunded I will reorder a new domain. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I can certainly refund this for you, but before I do, I just want to ensure that you really want this to happen. You are in face the owner of the domain. It isn’t currently set as the primary domain on your site, though. Mapping a domain can take up to 72 hours, so if you didn’t see it activate right away, that’s why.

You’ll need to go to your Domains page (Dashboard > Store > Domains) and click on thedojo.com and then click “update primary domain.” You will again need to wait for this to propagate across the web, so if there’s a delay let me assure you: it is normal.

So, knowing that, would you still like me to cancel this domain for you? If I do so, it will go back to the registrar and will not be available again for 60 days, if ever.

    Just let me know!

Alright well I updated the primary domain again and it redirects to a site that asks if I am interested in leasing or purchasing the premium domain, so I’m not quite sure what to do…I guess I can wait it out, just don’t want to delay and never get the blog to redirect to that page in the future. Also, since it redirects to the karate page of nonsense, I am unable to continue to work on my blog, which still needs quite a bit of work. Whatever you think is the best option is the one I’ll take. You’re the expert. Thanks for you help!

  • Hi there,

It looks like the nameservers need to be updated. Right now they are:
    buy.internettraffic.com
    sell.internettraffic.com

    They should be:
    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

To change these, you would need to log into your registrar’s admin page, find where the settings for your domain are, and click on “nameservers” (this is sometimes an option you have to click to open, or sometimes all the options are in one longish page). Then you can just change your nameservers to the WordPress servers named above, and within a few hours the change takes effect.

Once you change your nameservers, you can go back to your Domains page (Dashboard > Store > Domains) and re-enable the custom domain as your primary domain and you should be all set! You can re-set that as your primary domain right away, but you won’t see a change until the nameservers propagate anyway.

I hope you find this helpful; keep me in the loop!
