Refund Domain Name and Domain Mapping

Refund domain
Blog url: http://dearsonginmyheaddotcom.wordpress.com/ -
You can cancel your ownership of a domain purchased at WordPress.com and get a full refund within 2 days of purchase.
After cancellation, there is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register. Is that okay?
Note that it’s possible to keep the domain registered here at WordPress.com and switch to another web hosting provider at any time by updating the name servers.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameserversIf your reason for canceling is that you made a typo in the domain name, you might consider keeping that domain to make it so other people who make the same typo will still get redirected to the right place.
Please reply by October 30 to confirm if you would like to cancel your ownership of the domain name dearsonginmyhead.com.

I don’t want to cancel my domain, I want to get my REFUND. I still have until November 28, 2011 with my prior purchase. I had disabled Auto Renewal and for some reason it still purchased by itself.
Is that okay? I just want my REFUND and to have my date replaced with the original purchase date (NOV 28, 2011). -
We renew domains a month early, as a simple failed transaction could result in the permanent loss of your domain if we renewed on the expiration date.
It looks like Auto-renew was still enabled at the time this renewed on October 25.
Years cannot be subtracted from a domain registration, so I can’t refund this without canceling the entire domain, but your domain is now good through November 25, 2012.

The thing is, I know I did disable Auto-renew. I still want my domain, I just don’t want to be charged now.
It really doesn’t sound hard to just refund and continue with previous renewal date. So, there’s no way for that? I’m locked in for another year even though I had disabled auto-renew? -
In this case, yes. Auto-renew was still enabled, which is why it was processed. It appears to have been disabled after the renewal time.
The inability to decrease registration years without cancelation is imposed on us by law, so the only way that I can generate a refund now would be to cancel the entire domain.
Since auto-renew has been disabled, you can renew manually next year whenever you’d like to.
